Replacement Sprocket Assemblies

Replacement sprocket assemblies

A replacement sprocket assembly is supplied to restore a worn chain drive, conveyor station or machine mechanism. The assembly may include a sprocket, hub, bushing, fasteners or another mounting component, depending on the original design. The supply scope should be defined before quotation because replacing the toothed part alone may not correct a worn shaft, keyway or bushing.

Industrial replacement sprocket assembly

Product introduction

YZEFY Sprockets manufactures replacement chain sprockets and complete or partial sprocket assemblies for OEM machinery and MRO buyers. We can identify a part from a drawing, sample, worn sprocket, chain marking or dimensioned photos. The mating chain and mounting parts should be reviewed with the replacement.

Main uses

  • Replacement sprockets for roller chain drives
  • Conveyor drive, return and idler sprocket assemblies
  • Taper lock or QD sprocket and bushing replacements
  • Split, weld-on and hub sprocket replacements
  • Repeat maintenance and OEM service part supply

Suitable industries

Packaging, agricultural equipment, conveyors, food processing, woodworking, mining, building materials and general industrial machinery all require replacement sprockets. The correct part helps reduce the risk of repeated wear caused by an incorrectly matched chain or damaged mounting interface.

Core advantages

  • Identification support when the original catalogue number is unavailable
  • Supply scope defined around the sprocket, hub, bushing and shaft interface
  • Material and treatment selected for the actual wear and environment
  • Drawing and sample based replacement for legacy equipment

Product features

  • Materials: C45 and 40Cr alloy steel are common choices. Stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, nylon or acetal can be reviewed for different equipment conditions.
  • Machining: Replacement work can include tooth cutting, bore and keyway machining, hub turning, bushing interface work, split preparation, weld-on interface machining and deburring.
  • Dimensional accuracy: Inspection covers tooth pitch, tooth profile, tooth count, bore, keyway, hub, bushing interface, concentricity and runout against the replacement specification.
  • Surface treatment: Induction hardening, carburizing or specified protective finishes can be considered based on the cause and pattern of wear.
  • Standards: ANSI, DIN, ISO, BS and JIS references can be used when the chain standard is known. The old part should not be identified by appearance alone.
  • Custom capability: Tooth count, bore, keyway, hub, split or weld-on form, material, treatment, assembly scope, marking and packing can be customized.

Specifications / options

  • Chain size: State chain standard, series, pitch, roller dimensions and strand count. Include the chain marking or a sample when the size is unknown.
  • Teeth number: Count the teeth and note any damaged or missing areas. Measure the mating sprocket if the drive uses a pair.
  • Bore type: Pilot, plain, finished keyed, taper lock, QD, bearing-related, split or weld-on mounting.
  • Hub style: Plate, Type B, Type C, extended hub, split hub, weld-on hub, bushing hub or complete assembly.
  • Material: C45, 40Cr alloy steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, nylon or acetal subject to the application review.
  • Surface treatment: Machined, induction hardened, carburized or protected with a specified finish.
  • Custom options: Original dimensions, replacement fit, keyway, bushing, bolt pattern, marking, inspection report and packing requirements.

For a chain sprocket replacement, the old tooth count is useful but not sufficient. Confirm pitch, bore, keyway, hub, chain line and the condition of the shaft and chain.

Applications

  • Conveyor systems: Replacement drive, return, idler and tensioner sprockets
  • Packaging machinery: Service parts for intermittent and continuous chain drives
  • Agricultural equipment: Replacement sprockets for seasonal, dusty or impact-loaded machinery
  • Food processing equipment: Stainless steel or protected replacements for washdown environments
  • OEM machinery: Controlled service parts made to the original drawing revision
  • MRO maintenance: Sprocket assemblies identified from field dimensions and photos

Selection guide

  1. Inspect the complete drive. Check the chain, shaft, keyway, bushing, bearings, chain guides and opposite sprocket before ordering.
  2. Record the chain. Provide standard, series, pitch, roller dimensions and strand count. A chain marking or sample is useful.
  3. Measure the sprocket. Record teeth, pitch or chain reference, face width, outside diameter, bore, keyway and hub dimensions. Avoid relying on worn tooth tips.
  4. Define the assembly scope. State whether you need the sprocket only, sprocket and hub, sprocket and bushing, or a complete matched assembly.
  5. Describe service conditions. Include load, speed, impact, dust, moisture, washdown, temperature and lubrication.
  6. Send photos or a drawing. Show the installed sprocket, shaft interface, chain line and any identification marks.

Why choose YZEFY Sprockets

  • Manufacturing capability: We can combine replacement identification with machining, tooth cutting, keyway work, hub or bushing production, treatment and inspection.
  • Custom engineering support: We review the worn part and the mating chain or shaft so the replacement addresses fit, not just visual similarity.
  • Quality control: Tooth profile, pitch, bore, keyway, hub, bushing fit, concentricity and runout can be inspected to the agreed replacement data.
  • Export experience: We coordinate part identification, matched sets, packing and shipping details for international MRO and OEM service orders.

FAQ

Can you identify a replacement sprocket from a photo?

A photo can start the review, but chain marking, tooth count, bore, keyway, hub, face width and shaft details are normally needed to confirm the part.

Should I replace the chain with the sprocket?

The chain should be inspected whenever a sprocket is replaced. A worn chain can damage a new sprocket, but the decision depends on chain elongation, wear, load and the condition of the complete drive.

Can you supply a replacement sprocket assembly with a bushing?

Yes. The quotation can include the sprocket only, a matched sprocket and bushing, or another defined assembly. State the current bushing marking and shaft diameter.

Can you match an obsolete sprocket?

Legacy and non-catalogue parts can be reviewed from a drawing, sample or measurements. The chain standard and mounting interface must be confirmed before production.

What information affects replacement sprocket price?

Material, size, teeth, machining, bore, hub, treatment, assembly scope, quantity, inspection and packing affect the quotation. Photos alone do not define the cost.

Can you supply repeat replacement orders?

Repeat orders can be reviewed when the drawing, revision, quantity and inspection requirements are controlled. Keep the original specification available for future orders.
